No one is certain as of yet when the exact release date will be. However, there is a lot of speculation that our new friend will make an appearance this summer. Chips will update you of the exact date when we get one. I call this operating system a friend as it is user friendly and unlike Windows 8, it has an all round more welcoming feel. You will still have some of the features of 8, but, they are nice and tucked away. You don't have to deal with them being "in your face". It has the look of 7 with a face lift if I were to describe it. You can still find your way around, but you have apps etc. So far, I find it to be a stable operating system without a lot of fuss. Yes you will need to get used to some changes in layout. But, I am confident that most users will be finding it a breath of fresh air. Expect a new browser with 10. It is called Project Spartan. Users of Windows 7 and 8.1 can upgrade for free within the first year of release. (From the release date till that time the next year) Apps from ios and Android will work with Windows 10 devices. We have a sneak preview of 10 in the store for anyone interested in seeing it first hand. It is currently running on our PC Configurator in the front of the shop. If you are interested please come in and ask one of us to assist you.
